Murph, What MUST be presented in the media is BALANCE. I think Joe, Karl and Bill in Grand Island would come much closer to saying that the glass is half empty. For you it may be half full. For Gina, Shirley and Hilary that may be a toss up. One of the problems that we who are functioning have to fight is the battles for those who are not functioning in every day society. We have to draw attention to the need for in home help..........how much longer can Karl and Delene continue with their current coping schedule? What is Don going to do when he cannot leave Shirley alone at the house? What has been the impact on Ann during the past 10 years with Bill? What about Mike and Cindy? These are problems created and/or accelerated by Parkinsons that people were/are having a great deal of difficulty coping with. These folks are not leading a normal life......... You may get in your car today and drive to the mall, church or go somewhere with CJ. But every YOPD is not that fortunate today. Rita
