Hi, folks.  I'm engaged in a discussion on another list about distance
education, and the refusal of York faculty to put course materials on the
web is being cited on that list (as it is everywhere, it seems) as a
major factor in the strike of a few years ago.  I don't remember the
details of the strike, but I do remember that that issue wasn't exactly
central to it.  Now people want more details, though . . . and my memory
fails me.

Can someone who knows more than me answer the questions posed below?  If
you send them to me privately I'll re-post to ACW . . .

sorry to keep posting, everyone, but this touches a bit of an internecine
struggle chez moi....
Marcy and a couple of others have mentioned the York strike.  When did it take
place? Whom could I find out about it from? I feel the need for real
information.
