To all of those on estrogen therapy: Jerry Finch was right concerning Premarin. Yes, it is supposed to help PD. I have been on estrogen since I was 31 and while I don't like its side-effects, the effects of NOT taking it are even worse for me. PLEASE, PLEASE, do not take Premarin if you must take estrogen. I agree in total with Jerry. Hundreds of foals are being destroyed in order to get urine from pregnant mares. This is a very cruel existence for a horse to bear when other substitutes are available. Premarin is only a brand name. You can take estrogen in various forms..patches, shots, synthetic, and plant-derrivitive. Please do so. Rosemary Russell 51 5 1/2 yrs. Arkansas ([log in to unmask])
