Hi Susan I'm glad your mother is better. I havent wrote before now cause i had no avice . I was going to suggst the touch lamps but somebody beat me. You might consider having one on each side. My other idea is to get her a pole, I forget what tey're called but it runs from floor to ceiling and canbe used to aswing your self in andf out of bed. Hope this helps.
