Ready or not, I'm back with "the list" just in time to add a few cents to
our collective pot. After watching 20/20, I must say that Mr. Fox is a very
positive guy with a very powerfull overall support system. You have to
admire his demeanor in view of all the facts, not to mention the nasty
potential of things! Mr. Fox appears to be dealing with Parkinsons in a
very productive manner.........albeit on a personal level. I'm very happy
for him, (sincerely) some very positive influences are at work in his life
while he toils with our ever-infringing and mutual enemy.

If one is to consider the interviews impact on the Parkinson community, (the
whole scheme of things) well, this is the 2nd time I've seen the "Titanic
sink" this year!!!...........talk about rapid deflation! I'm getting stiff
and shaking just thinking about how counter-productive this interview will
be to our agenda, which is (or should be) to paint Parkinsons as the monster
it really is! Instead, we have a really nice guy who "had" an unfortunate
and "rare" bout with Parkinsons (now mostly corrected by skilled neuros)
whose current symptoms are of no big deal. As "Access Hollywood" said this
same evening: "He has (M.J.F.) such a good attitude and He looks great".
And as Michael stated "life is so good"...........et cetera. Was that
Barbara Walters or Tony Robbins with a blond wig? I'm going to get up
tomorrow and sell my Porsche! Put me on that list for some o dat.......>
brain surgery! It's kind of like the movie "Pleasantville"............where
everything is La de da......de da!

Michael, I still love ya! However, facts are facts and I choose to live in
the real world. I have no doubt regarding your good intentions during the
20/20 interview. The exposure of the words "Parkinsons Disease" to the
viewing public would normally be beneficial as it creates awareness.
Unfortunately, I believe that this interview may be considered nothing less
than a colossal failure in terms of PD interests. Awareness has been
created but without the very necessary impetuous to effect action. I am
hopeful that as Mr. Fox goes through the "learning curve" of relevant PD
politics, He will do the right thing. At least try to bring us back to
where we were before treading backwards! I don't want to live in
Pleasantville! At least not with PD!

Aloha to all,
