Fred, Janet gave you good advice. i would add one consideration. the dosing schedule with Tasmar is usually three times per day - with the Sinemet. it has a long half life and this works fine. theMirapex is an agonist (it acts directly upon dopamine sites). it has a typical peak a while after ingestion, then decays in concentration - as does the Sinemet. the Mirapex should be offset in times taken - not with the Sinemet. Also, if the Sinemet is taken only three times per day, it should be more effective if half as much is taken twice as often. frequent medicating is a nuisance, but the available time release forms are not easily used. we in US donot have Madopar option (which may be better in this regard). peaks and valleys in bloodstream concentration should be minimized for optimum results. best holiday wishes to all.
