Sharon.... keeping in mind that we all feel our respective and
collective symptoms in different ways - some very similar, and some
not at all the same as anyone else may feel, I get an internal tremor
(not visible to the naked eye, but it can be FELT), both vocal cords
are involved, which affects my breathing, as well as my speech. My
tongue, from the tip and moving on down the throat, has slowly
developed a life of it's own, and movement such as speech and
swallowing can often be difficult. I have dystonia and it's
manifested by a very rapid tremor in the jaw, chin, and tongue.

My eye sight's affected, as I periodically get double vision, and
lose depth perception. Because of my meds, I usually have dry-eye
and use eye drops regularly throughout the day. In fact, it
sometimes seems like I have TWO pairs of eyes! The ones that work
"normally" and the ones that simply "do their own thing."

Of course, there's that much commented about and seemingly
universal-to-all Parkies, ya olde constipation. Then there's urinary
frequency a constant URGE feeling (the entire problem is
considerably better since I started seeing a urologist (THANK
HEAVEN!!!), I've had a number of urinary track infections over the
past 15 months, which have been attributed to the Parkinson's.

There's the severe shoulder pain which can come from having a torn
rotator cuff, something that 50% of all Parkies suffer from at one
time or another.

There's also just plain slowing down... less fine tuning of organs,
muscles and other body parts that used to do what they were designed
to do in a reasonable amount of time, and NOW seem to have gone to
sleep on the job!

We chew slowly, we move slowly, we talk slowly. we even seem to
THINIK slowly in many cases.

THAT'S what's going on internally with many of us as time passes.
And more....
