The Methodists gathered in a corner and prayed. The Baptists cried "Where is the water!" The Quakers quietly praised God for the blessings that fire brings. The Lutherans posted a notice on the door declaring that fire is evil. The Catholics passed the plate to cover the cost of the damage. The Jews posted symbols above the door, hoping the fire would pass them by. The Congregationalists shouted "It's every man for himself!" The Fundamentalist proclaimed "Surely it is the vengeance of god" The Episcopalians formed a procession and marched out quietly. The Christian Scientists concluded there was no fire. The Presbyterians appointed a chairperson who was to appoint a commitee to look into the matter and submit a written report. The Unity Students proclaimed the fire had no power over them. The Palestinian Muslims claimed credit for setting the blaze. The Sufis became moths and circled the Flame of the Divine Beloved. The Zen Buddhists meditated and thereby levitated above the flames. The Born Again Christians claimed it was all a plot by abortionists and went out to bomb another clinic. The Unitarians formed a discussion group about fire and its effect, both beneficial and detrimental. Meanwhile, the secretary grabbed a fire extinguisher and put the fire out.
