I wish it were not true but I am afraid it is. It would be nice if
just causes and simple people in need could do by them selves in a day, a
week, or a year as much as MJF did in a short interview with people
magazine.
I don't know if there are too many just causes, and too many simple
people in need, or as a nation we have been spoiled by Jerry Lewis style
fund raising (not knocking it I gave my share), but we don't seem to do
very well unless we have a MJF
Just think back and remember how many problems people with aids had
getting help. The disease was almost considered just punishment for those
that had chosen one particular life style or another. Then all of a sudden
Magic Johnson does a news release that he has aids and the world over night
had a change in attitude about aids.
