1.  There is nothing "wrong" with having Parkinsons...for a 63 year old
grandmother.
2.  If she has been diagnosed for five years, her friends have probably
noticed that something is wrong.
3.  If she is concerned about gossip, better the gossip be that she has
Parkinson's than that she has a substance abuse problem (which is common
misconception by those who do not know about Parkinsons).
4.  Pity/hovering over the person with Parkinsons happens more frequently when
the PWP encourages that behavior by their actions.
5.  Tell folks now, today is as deserving a day as tomorrow.......less stress
when we are not trying to 'hide" symptoms.
