Hi, You may be aware that there are now Parkinson's Disease mailing lists in: - English (PARKINSN, CARE, PDNEWS, PDUK) - French (PARKLISTE) - Dutch (NEDERPARK) - German (DEUPARK) - Spanish (Parkinson Universal) I wondered what this meant in terms of audience, so I did some very brief analysis for festive fun. At the moment, approximately 85% of the world's online population could find a Parkinson's mailing list in a language they speak. The potential audiencefor PD information in different languages is: English 728 French 48 German 109.6 Dutch 32.8 Spanish 113.6 This is based on the estimate that 1 in 500 people have PD, and each person affected by PD wouldhave 3 people who would be motivated enough to join a list. This analysis is just back-if-the-envelope stuff, and should be done more carefully. If you want to see more detail, its on my web site at http://james.parkinsons.org.uk/221298size.htm Details of where to find the lists are also on the web page.
