Robin:  If you use Outlook, you can go to view and select the view that
allows you to see the first line or two of the message in addition to the
sender's e-mail and subject.  It's a great time saver, especially since many
messages are only 1 or 2 lines long.

i understand about the delete key BUT don't always know from the headline on
a
message what's in it.  so i take the time to read it and too frequently find
that it is a personal message from one person to another which -- in my
opinion -- doesn't need to be put on the list.
