I think you are right.

Also, I don't think this little change in what happens when you hit the
Reply button is the cause of the current reduction in interesting mail. I
believe I can distinctly recall last Christmas Eve and Christmas as being
real slow - people perhaps have other things to do.

Anyone who wants to reply to the List - I don't understand what the problem
is. With my program, Outlook Express, it's now 3 quick clicks instead of
one. Anyone who truly wants to post to the
List, either something worthwhile or because they just like subjecting all
of us to personal stuff, will continue to be able to do so.

What this does accomplish is help those who have in the past inadvertently
sent personal replies through the list from accidentally doing so again.
This is now what I believe Barbara Blake-Krebs did [for the very first time,
ever] and which I publicly pointed out to her. I sincerely apologize for
that, Barbara, and acknowledge that we are not allowed to do that, either
publicly or privately.

i also think paying more attention to the Subject line will help stem some
of the volume complaints.
All in all 1998 was a GREAT yaer for this forum. i, for one, am more
comfortable, healthier and more at ease with my PD because of this group
than i would have believed possible. For that i thank ALL of the active
participants!
