Someone on the listserv said that they were taking ultram and wanted to know if anybodyelse was taking ultram for backache. I responded to his letter - I am not pushing ultram. ultram is manufactured by Johnson and Johnson for the managemnt of mild to severe pain.J&J clain that it is less likely to cause gastrointestinal side effects and less likley to produce a physical dependence. It carries several warnings regarding its use. You and your physician can determine if it is right for you. I feel that it helps out somewhat. Bud Harrington
