Careful! If my statement sounded like that it was unintentional!
What I MEANT to say, and am still pursuing, is:

1. The evidence that Tasmar caused fulminant liver failure in 3
(the last I read) of its 100,000 or so users is circumstantial
at best, and will remain so, because there won't be any volunteers
for a controlled, definitive trial.

2. Not enough is known about fulminant liver failure to be sure
that periodic testing of the liver distress enzyme ALT or AST will
detect it in time. There are some (NON-Tasmar-related) instances
where it seems to have occurred despite "normal" enzyme levels,
up until the onset of unmistakable clinical symptoms.

3. The most knowledgeable authorities, in both cases, wisely
choose to err on the side of caution, admitting that there isn't
a "robust body of evidence" to prove that such monitoring will
guarantee safety, but it certainly looks like a good thing to do.

Cheers,
Joe
