Within the past six months, the National Parkinson Foundation has worked with a 13 year old boy that has shown signs of Parkinson's disease for several years. Dr. Abraham Lieberman, NPF's National Medical Director diagnosed the boy with Parkinson's disease and subsequently, NPF was able to arrange further studies at NIH's Experimental Therapeutic Branch, headed by Dr. Thomas Chase. The Parkinson's diagnosis was confirmed during this evaluation in Novemmber of last year. NPF has visited the family and the school and has worked to meet the needs of this very special boy and his family. Inside Edition will air a special segment on this child tonight. I do not know if the times vary from state to state, but in south Florida, it will air at 7:00 on NBC.
