The following was my response to an article in our paper about a Y2K/millenium/endtimes conference going on locally. Seems to me alot of people are preying on other's fears. Alot of "Christians" (and others) are being very unchristian-like, and not only stockpiling food and other supplies, but also weapons to help safeguard their stashes. If there is any sort of major world depression or chaos, it will be thanks to people like that who have created this self-fulfilling prophesy thru their fear. END TIMES "The End Times are here! The End Times are here!" Loudly shout those Who profit by fear Many will bear witness To the end of the world Drawing conclusions As events have unfurled Jesus himself said Not to listen to those Who say they know that Which no angel yet knows While humanity does seem To be close to the brink Things are not so dire As they would like you to think If you truly trusted in God Then you would give them no heed For has he not said That ye are special indeed? As he provides fully For flowers and for birds He will care for you also According to his Word So, listen ye not To those who proclaim To know of His coming For they speak not in God's name *copyright Wendy Tebay
