Why suffer now - if your life has reached that point when you are suffer ing - take the sinemet. ånd believe in the cure - by the time the sinemet becomes ineffective, or its side effects outway the good, there will be something else to replace it, even if it is not the cure. I will add one thought that was not made explicit: Using minimal amount of levodopa is implied in this and numerous other messages on this subject. I believe that emphasis on minimal needs to consider what I sent to Sherilyn privately: "I suggest that you convince your doctor that it might make your life much better if you take a minimal dosage of carbidopa/levodopa (i use generic drug).. my dosage recommendation would be halves of 25/100 tablets. the first day just one half before each meal. if you experience no nausea, try the same half three times but 15 minutes before eating. this might be sufficient for you. if not, double the number of halves at 3-hour intervals through the day. taking 6 halves per day is better than 3 whole tabs because this gives lower peak concentration and more level concentration of levodopa in the bloodstream." few doctors seem to recommend using the halves or quarters - nor recognize the two-hour half life implications. The Madopar 50 mg levodopa size makes sense. halving or quartering the CR tablets should also be done to use minimum levodopa. (I do not think the price consistent with the benefit? of CR.)
