Six weeks ago in Houston, a PWP, 75 year old Phillip
Lester, walked out of a museum he was visiting with his
family and hasn't been seen since. Family members,
authorities and volunteers have conducted massive
searches, yet have turned up no leads.

Stories like this are fairly common around the country.
What grabbed my attention on this one is that the
Houston Chronicle article, written by Eric Berger and
appearing on January 11th, said:
"Because of his Parkinson's disease family members say
that although he can remember his name, Lester cannot
recall his phone number or address."

I intend to write Mr. Berger and ask that he correct
the statement in a future article. Once again a
reporter clouds the issue of symptoms of PD with false
information. Someone will retain that bit of
information, later on hearing of a PWP and think that
it means a loss of cognitive ability.

If any of you find this disturbing, please go to their
website:
http://www.houstonchronicle.com/
and use the comment link to drop them an email.

And say a prayer for Lester.

Thanks,
Jerry Finch
