I recently found the web pages of Steven Shackel, an ALS patient, who describes there his extensive research of dietary supplements, especially anti-oxidents, and his successes in using them in his struggle against his own neurodegenerative disease. Because anti-oxidents are thought to provide a degree of neuroprotection in Parkinson's disease, Shackel's information is probably relevant to PD as well. See http://www.goulburn.net.au/~shack. My own neurologist, Dr. Fazzini, now suggests Coenzyme Q10, glutathione, NADH and ginko biloba as possibly useful for PD patients. Phil Tompkins Hoboken NJ age 61/dx 1990
