Is there anything that helps that one can do at home? Thanks. >> Eleven years ago during chemotherapy, my husband got an extremely bad case of shingles and much scaring resulted. His shoulder slumped forward and then his whole back rounded down. His head was also in a more forward position. He definitely could not stand up straight against the wall. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1996. We then discovered that at least part of the slump could be due to the Parkinson's. I am 5' 3" and he was 5' 8". Now his height varies each day. Sometimes he is quite a bit taller than I am, and the next time I give him a hug, we are eyeball to eyeball. I would guess that this height change is 4 to 5 inches different. It can vary that much even in one day. I assume it has to do with the posture, but looking at him, it doesn't seem to be all in slumping. He does daily stretching and arm exercises. Has anyone else noticed this phenomena, or are we cracking up?
