oh, heck, this is a tough one!
my instant reaction?
'it shouldn't have happened'
'he should have had better medical care'
'he didn't die from pd - he died from ignorance'
but that's the anger and frustration coming to the surface
i need to go deeper
and find the peace at the centre
it's a lesson
and it's a hard one
the hardest lessons teach us the most
the hardest lessons are the most important lessons
pd invisiblity = pd ignorance
pd visiblity = pd knowledge
knowledge = power
power = action
action = ? = praxis = walk our talk and talk our walk
the anger surges again
no more ms nice
no more medico ego-fawning
no more politico pussy-footing
we have to be our own strongest advocates
we have to love ourselves enough
to trust ourselves enough
to know we must be loud
and we must be
heard

we need to know joe's name

my heart is open to you and judith and
all of joe's family and friends
