I am pleased to announce to those of you who read Australian, Canadian,
French,
Spanish, German, or Portugese can now translate list messages as a normal
function
of The Parkinsn List Online.
Previously you had to rely on local translations which was tedious and time
consuming for
use by your associates. AltaVista provides those services for us. The new
options will
enhance your ability to use useful information found here in your local areas.
The caveat is the translations will not translate long posts and proof
reading is required
to verify accuracy as to translation and local language usage.

Index page, including the link to Simon Cole's archive.
Please also note that the language of the Parkinsn List is English but
international
speakers can post on Parkinsn, using the translation facilities at
AltaVista before
sending the message.
The cost of receiving Parkinsn List messages will be reduced using the
Online facility for
reading. Also, there is no mail delay, when messages arrive they are posted
immediately.
Only the last 200 messages will be viewable. Message 201 will replace
message 1 etc.
Other areas of the Parkinsn site can be used with the translation facility
also. Major
university medical institutions use the Parkinsn site references in
training future doctors, pharmacists and nurses. Primary magazine for
Family Practice Physicians has recently started
using the Parkinsn List Drug Database for examples of patient information
documents.
Reference sources are only useful if used...so use and enjoy the ambience.
