Hilary, During the past year,we remodeled our home to include: Entrance ramp with railings on each side Bathroom with grab-bars wherever needed. Wide entrance doorways;e.g. 100cm beween bedroom and bathroom Sliding doors Open shower Raised toilet seat with raisable grab-bar alongside Vanity with full wall mirror and lots of storage space Overhead lighting Carpeting Bedroom on ground floor Adjustable bed with raisable grab-bar along side. We found a lady who came to our home and gave us a remodeling design from which the work was done. She has experience with PWPs and did an excellent job. Best wishes. Does anybody have any suggestions? I have no idea how to go about this. What is it going to cost? How radical a change will it involve? How will it affect the value of my house? And who do I get to do it for me? Are there specialists in this feild (adapting bathrooms for the disabled )? And what are the questions I have forgotten to ask? I eagerly await your replies.
