Hillary- First the report (at least the audio part of it )can be heard with REAL AUDIO at: http://www.pbs.org/newshour/newshour_index.html Hillary you were just great. And- Peter as well if you are a lurker. In addition PBS did a great job. That was the best report I have seen about PD made for a general audience. I thought it was an excellent balance of human and scientific aspects of our illness. They showed Hillary and Peter telling the difficulties they faced including Peter falling, mention of Hillary's problem with social services. They balanced the optimism of Michael J. Fox with the reality that PD kills through complications - but it does kill. as well as disable. They certainly did not paint the picture as rosy but offered realistic hope of alleviating treatment and future cures. It is amazing what good TV journalism can convey when they aren't pimarily in a ratings battle. I think it is important for all of us who liked the program to email PBS to let them know we appreciate their good reporting. It is the best way to get more of it. Again, Hillary -you did a great job both in getting the segment aired and your part in it. Thanks.
