The Order of Canada should be a prestigious award. Unfortunately, when
it was awarded to former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, IMO, it was
reduced to the status of a prize one might expect to find in a box of
Cracker Jack. This is not to say that people like Dr. Calne, etc. are
not worthy of the high honour.
