Marling,

The following still works for me:

1. bend one knee until you can grasp it with both hands.

2. keeping the other leg straight hook it with the foot of the bent leg.

3. pull your shoulders towards the knee you are grasping (this should result
in a curved back).

4. start rocking backwards and forwards - slowly at first

5. concentrate on lengthening  the swing and pressing down with the straight
leg during it's down stroke.

6. this action will eventually result in you attaining a sitting position,
at which time you will no longer be a turtle and the world will have become
your oyster'
