Ivan: Hope you don't mind me 'butting in" but your correspondences prompt me to give some advice- hope you think about it even if you use the delete button. You seem totally focused on your need for money- I hate to tell you but we ALL even the rich, have serious and frustrating money concerns. I too have literally been homeless and to the very last dollar. I understand your feeling of panic when the last dollars are in sight. My husband's pension gives us less per person to live on than your talking about and ironically, it puts us in too high a catagory for me to get public assistance of any kind pertaining to health care, food, etc. When the crisis come around in our life, often due to our own misjudgements, I have had to either blame others or figure out a better way - in other words get bitter or get better. I've found that getting better about my attitude concerning money has led to much better situations ( a real good reference source for learning this technique is called the Bible, not necessarily religion) . I have always realized that noone is going to "give" you money just because you need it. If you focus your argument about the injustice done you in Miami (it sounds like you were done wrong, but your subsequent actions may have kept you from getting satisfaction), rather than just how poor you are the the rich people need to cure your problem, I think you will come closer to getting results. Small claims may not be feasible due to distance, but I've often gotten a lot of problems solved to my advantage by l. stating the facts clearly and honestly and 2. respecting the people I'm wanting to help me. Another thing I think might help your case tremendously is if you will refrain from making the analogy to rape. I hope this honest feedback can be of some help for you - I know how tough it can be to look in the mirror and see yourself clearly - but believe me it is the first step to finding God - and when you do that , things will get better! A concerned listener, that cares .....
