At the risk of blowing my own trumpet, I'd like to mention my own book _Wars of the Theatres: The Poetics of Personation in the Age of Jonson_ (Victoria: English Literary Studies, 1998), where I try to make the argument that Aristophanes, or at least the idea of Aristophanes, was an important reference point for the personally satirical comedies of Jonson et al. I think it's an under-explored area, and I'm sure there's more to be done. All the best, Matt. ================================================ Dr Matthew Steggle Lecturer in English, Sheffield Hallam University Tel: (home) 0115 925 4122 ================================================
