Hi David:

My husband, Dan 50 diagnosed last spring.....sounded much like you. He
had the shuffle in his gait, affecting the left side....dexterity problems
like difficulty brushing his teeth, buttoning his shirt, handwriting
problems and the SHOULDER....frozen painfully in an upright position. This
was my husband's most difficult symptom to deal with, too. We went to
several different doctors and finally decided to go with the Miapex and
Eldepryl. We couldn't be happier with the results! He has no side
effects, no noticable symptoms as long as he takes his medication on time .
THE SHOULDER HAS NOT BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE.....And his whole personality has
changed from depression back to the man he was over 10 years ago. You,
too, will have to make your own choices, but we chose NOT to start the
sinimet until the dopamine agonists no longer give him symptomatic relief
because of all the research we have studied. (This is OUR opinion, but if
you are looking for opinions......) I just read your letter to my husband
and he says you sound just like he used to.....and he is so thankful for
the medications!!

Good luck with your choices......
