Hi Mary Ann.... Thanks for the info about the shingles drugs. I'm on acyclovir <5 times a day>. I ended up with SOOOO much information regarding this nasty virus that'll take days for me to read and digest it all. THEN I'll report (with periodic updates) on how the virus and it's drugs are interacting with the PD, and IT'S drugs. I'm just glad that there IS something to offer at least SOME relief, if started within 3 days of either/or (and I can't remember WHICH was told to me by the MD) onset of ANY symptoms or onset of the blistering only (I'll know by the end of the day tho, 'cause today is "Shingles research day for moi!") Oh.... and also it sure seems to me - between last nite's and this morning's huge mass of shingles-related email I received that this is one heckuva prevalent and under-evaluated-by-the-medical-profession disease!!!
