Subject: Re: God, the Bible etc.... and tolerance From: serenity <[log in to unmask]> To: Gaylon Johnson <[log in to unmask]> With respect, just about anything is NOT tolerated on this list and shouldn't be. Also, as you can tell from the messages often posted, many, many people have alot of difficulty putting up with subjects that have nothing to do with sharing PD info, concerns, support, and other PWP issues. Those of us who do not believe in Jesus Christ or any other diety or messhiah do not go around posting our beliefs and / or non-beliefs. You wrote: " Briefly, I believe in God, His Word the Holy Bible, His Son and my Savior Jesus Christ. I wish that everyone would know the peace, joy and hope that I have found in my personal relationship with Him for nearly fifty years" But what if I posted a message saying, "Personally, I don't believe in the existence of God, Christ, literally what the bible says, etc. and I find peace, love, joy, hope etc. very well without the above for over fifty years." Would this not possibly sound offensive, challenging, proselytizing, or just plain silly or boring, and certainly well off the point of this list to many people? Please, please keep this kind of stuff and debate private--like your prayers. I will not debate this any further, and am seriously considering leaving this list if I keep getting 75 messages a day littered with IVAN, and other non-PD or unhelpful, unwanted stuff. Let's stay on point.
