it appears that your father is both depressed and Parkinsonian. nothing much is revealed about his social situation. is he living alone? what are our feelings about his attitude toward life at this time? what do you think he is enjoying about his life? nothing or very little might indicate a need he has that may be denied - that is, be with some friends and family who are supportive of his returning to having - finding - some interests in being. i am just guessing that the causes of his depression are due to the mental attitude and the physical symptoms - these fatigued, slow to do anything vague disinterested because he must adjust to do what exercise he can to be able to re-claim some zest for living. he needs some friendly faces and enjoyable times. good luck to you and to him. -- Ron Vetter 1936, '84 PD dz [log in to unmask] http://www.ridgecrest.ca.us/~rfvetter
