Dear Mr. Cook: Welcome to the list- I'm a newcomer to and will be glad to
share
some experiences my husband has had pertaining to tremors and vision.
He was started on Cogentin when first diagnosed ( for the tremors he had
in
his right hand and feet) and did real well on it for about two years when the
slowness and regidity started in enough to try the Sinimet ( which he
couldn't tolerate right away and had to GRADUALLY WORK ON TO).
He has also had increasing vision difficulties for the past ten years,
including
blurred vision, and three times he has gotten exams from the V.A. and private
optometrists with them always saying the Parkinsons isn't supposed to affect
vision- but he can't use any of his prescription glasses or read. They all
seem to
have a real "lost" and cold attitude about it. He's due to revisit the V.A.
again next
month(new clinic) and hope to find more caring and knowledgable individuals.
What exactly is your blurred vision pertaining to? Anytime, or just when you
read?
The last doctor had some confusing mutterings about possible Macular
degeneration - but in the wrong eye for the one that should reflect such
problems!?!?
Anyway, hope this may help in your search for more helpful info- it's a
search
that's long and challanging , but these list members try to make it as
interesting
and fun as possible....Glad to have you with us.
                                                   Marie
