I saw the show, and took the comment by MJF to mean that he's confident that Parkinson's Disease will be eradicated in the reasonably near future, or that there'll be a cure...(from his mouth to God's ear) Fox said something similar in the People Magazine article. At least he's a little more realistic than Janet Reno who commented to the press about four years ago that there'd be a cure for PD within TWO years (from that time). Kinda makes me wonder if movie and political luminaries have some secret sources of information that only THEY can access, cause I KNOW no doctor has ever promised ME that there's be no more PD in 2 years or 10 years or any other number of years (and I prolly wouldn't believe 'em if they DID tell me that!) <I gotta see it to believe it> Barb Mallut [log in to unmask] -----Original Message----- From: Bruce Anderson <[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask] <[log in to unmask]> Date: Monday, February 08, 1999 10:10 PM Subject: Fw: A statement worth repeating: >I didn't see the show - why on earth would he say THAT? > >-----Original Message----- >From: J Finch <[log in to unmask]> >To: [log in to unmask] <[log in to unmask]> >Date: Tuesday, February 09, 1999 12:29 AM >Subject: A statement worth repeating: > > >>"I'm not the first person to get this, but I'll be >>among the last to have it." - MJF on the Letterman Show >>-- >>Help us save the horses!
