I receive many offlist questions, and I respect those individuals' need for privacy. If I believe my answer could be important to others, I sometimes ask the person if they would mind posting their question to the whole list, so that I can respond publicly; however, I always add that I will respond privately if privacy is a concern. And, I myself occasionally need to ask a question that in my professional opinion should be kept private. The list has gotten so busy that I've found I've accidentally deleted messages that I ought to have responded to. Having the option of replying to an individual makes it much faster and easier for me. I still believe we should give this new option time. Every other listserv I belong to has this individual reply option, and it works very well in all other instances. Best regards, Kathrynne
