Ervin, No, I am not saying that Mirapex is preferable to sinemet; rather, I'm saying that the two medications work on the brain in different ways. Usually, mirapex is used to boost the effectiveness of sinemet (altho sometimes in the first stage of PD, mirapex is used alone). I hope this doesn't make you more confused. Marty
