Camilla and List,
Diane Sawyer said that the procedure targeting the thalamus is approved
by the FDA, that it helps tremor and talking.  Experimental procedures
targeting the sub-thalamic nucleous are aimed to help with stiffness,
slowness, walking and balance.  Dr. Warren Olanow, Mt. Sinai School of
Medicine, explained the procedure and Dr. Isabel Germani did the surgery
.  This was part 2 in a series they're doing on the brain.
