Sub Thalamic DBS is also performed at NYU Medical Center under the directorship of Dr. Patrick Kelly, Chairman of Neurosurgery. Dr. Kelly and Dr. Ali Rezai have performed 7 bilateral STN procedures with excellent results. Dr. Rezai has participated in over 90 of these procedures while at the University of Toronto. We are working with insurance companies in an effort to have them cover the cost of the procedure.
