Alastair, My understanding of tremor is that when we lose our dopamine and begin to slow down, the brain tries to compensate for this lack of movement. However, sometimes it over corrects and we get too much movement, hence tremor. The surgery would then cut down on the number of return messages and cut the movement back to normal. Maybe???? Marling
