Dear Marie,

Dystonia plagues me also.  If I take enough Sinemet to take care of my
stiffness
ect, then it (the Sinemet) induces dystonia.  My Dr. says only Xanax (or
something similar)
will reduce the pain.  Painkillers won't (and they haven't for me).

Here's the problem.  Dystonia results from both too little Simemet and
also too much.
I unsally have to endure the dystonia pain when first taking sinemet,
until the sinemet
begins to wear off.

PD Q&A by Smithkline says on p82, "It may respond to more sustained
dopaminergic
stimulation as provided by dopamine agonists or levodopa/carbidopa CR."

You may want to get on the mailing list of the Dystonia Medical Research
Fdn.  (I
have).  They have some good material.
