Dear Terry Kempf-

My name is Dominic Marchese, RPh., I am a pharmacist with Athena's Partnership
for Care Program. Athena Rx Home Pharmacy has created a program to address
the educational needs of patients with Parkinson's. I attend support groups
of neurological patients throughout the state of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and
Kentucky. We have other pharmacist throughout the country that also perform
this role. If you would to learn more about our program. Please call
1-800-5-ATHENA and ask for Peter Paolucci. Let Peter know I referred you to
him. If you would like to contact me directly please, call me at
1-800-537-8899 ext 6104.

I am sorry to hear that you have fallen last week. Based upon the information
that you have presented, I believe that your blood pressure was too low. This
attributing factor was most likely caused by the combination of Sinemet, which
is known to cause low blood pressure and Artane. Our blood pressure regulates
the amount of oxygen that enters into our brain. If our pressure is too low
not enough oxygen travels up to the brain and we become lightheaded and may
faint or fall.

I would recommend that you have your blood pressure taken as soon as possible
and to notify your neurologist and your primary care physician. Some patients
who experience the same symptoms are placed on medication, in conjunction with
Sinemet, to help raise their blood pressure to allow more oxygen to reach the
brain. This is important to discuss with your doctor.

I hope I could answer your question. I welcome the opportunity to speak with
you directly. Please feel free to call me if you need additional information.
