Ditto on not assuming that shortness of breath is a Parkinson's symptom.
When my husband finally saw a movement disorder specialist and was
describing his symptoms, with his tremor, he included shortness of breath
and a "burning" in his chest. The doctor looked at him and said "you won't
die of PD but you may die of a heart attack. Get yourself to a cardio
ASAP." Bottom line: my husband "flunked" his stress test and is now on
calcium channel blockers. Guess what? No more shortness of breath or
burning in his chest! Except for the tremor, he feels great.
