Glycine makes creatine. Gylcine is found in great quantities in the substantia nigra. It is the antagonist of acetylcholine. Too much acetylcholine causes tremors. Glycine is synthesized from choline, betaine of dimethylglycine or B15, which forms creatine. It shares a carrier mediated transport with alanine and proline. Choline effects fat metabolism. Parkinsons is too much lipid or fat peroxidation. Our doctor suggested creatine for Huntingtons disease in our family. I don't know why they don't just give glycine instead. Glycine also effects glutathione that is low in Parkinsons. It's not too clear. [log in to unmask]
