National Parkinson Foundation Hosts Art Show At A Very Special Arts
Gallery West

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., March 9, 1999/PRNewswire/ -- Muhammad Ali will
make a special appearance at the National Parkinson Foundation's art
exhibition at A Very Special Arts (VSA) Gallery West on Wednesday, March
10, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. This art exhibition, appropriately titled,
Strength of Greatness, features artwork created personally by
the Champ for the event. In addition, one of Ali's favorite portraits of
himself, ``Face of a Champion'' created by up-and-coming artist, Caryn
Fregoso of Seattle, will be on display. During his appearance, Ali, in
the presence of the artist, will sign this compelling five by seven foot
acrylic on canvas. He has already signed 250 limited edition
lithographs created from this original portrait. These lithographs are
for sale to raise money for Parkinson's disease research.

The exhibition also features artworks created by people with a
connection to Parkinson's disease. Other notable artists in the
exhibition include painter Rebecca Hudson; painter Jane Kirby;
needlework artist Marie Smeznik; Kathy A. Harris, an artist who creates
``Window Jewels;'' and Lenore Meyer, who is best known for her unique
sculptures and
jewelry. Lenore is also a Parkinson's caregiver to her husband, former
Miami PR mogul, Hank Meyer. In all, over 20 artists are participating in
