As many of you know I recently returned from Oregon Health Science University where they are studying the use of Levodopa infusion and deep brain stimulation. The results were "impressive as well as the way it has altered your response to levodopa" quotes Dr. Nutt. I have gone without sinemet for over a year and in the two days that I was being studied I had two infusions (one each day) With the stimulator on: I developed dyskinesia within the first hour and it lasted 6 hours after the test began. With the stimulator turned off: I developed dyskinesia only for two hours at the end of testing.
