Bonnie, both Ken & I had good intentions. I may have over reacted a
little tho'. Sorry Ken.

Ken is using AOL 4.0 for Windows 95 and I am using Pegasus Mail
Version 2.5

My e-mailer (Pegasus) is a freeware program and runs happily on any
platform (386, 486, Pentium, etc.) and runs fine in Windows 3.1 as
well.

I use Pegasus because this is the e-mail program I load on the free
computers donated to our support group.

You say that in your computer it came out normal. Was it all one
plain text document? Or plain text with an attached plain text mail
message? (as it did - 3parts - on my Pegasus) I know my e-mailer and
computer are antiques in the computer world, but Ken's message WAS
multi-part and 12k with all the headers.

He just was thinking "Good Luck". I, on the other hand, was
thinking "I don't care for messages that demand you forward them to
others and specify a time limit and state that you will benefit (Good
Luck) from doing so and thus infer that you will get the opposite if
you don't forward them. This may make some of our members feel a
guilt trip if they don't comply, and yet another guilt trip if they
spam their friends and family". (If all 1800 members in 36 countries
sent this to 10 people and they sent it to 10 etc. we would all soon
have multiple copies jamming our systems )

This is not the first time someone sent this particular message to
this list by the way.

I was also thinking "It's time somebody reminded ALL the list members
not to send anything but 1 part ASCII plain text" and giving my friend
Ken a public cuff did just that. (Ken's a big guy and a good friend
and can handle this) I wouldn't cuff just anybody!

I guess it's just a slow mail day 'n I was over reacting??

All the best to you Bonnie and my apologies to all the
"Hornets" I stirred up..................................... Murray
