Just thought I'd update the list(s) on my mother Joyce (69). Her MRI today
showed no broken bones in the neck, which means no neck surgery (which
means her severe head flex is here to stay). She tried to get custom
fitted for a neck brace, but there was not enough space between her chin
and chest to fit the brace and they will try something at a later date.

What I find mysterious is this: When she lies back (propped up on pillows,
for she cannot lie down anymore), after awhile her neck straightens a bit.
But when she gets up, down the head an neck go. My thinking is that a neck
brace put on after she has been in a reclining position would support the
head. Does anyone have a similar experience where a neck brace was
successfully fitted? Thanks for all your help.
