Hi, We have been working hard to bring PD awareness to OR and southern WA. Once more Safeway (a huge grocery chain) will place a 5.5" x 5.5" ad for our support group on the side of their brown grocery bags. It will have our new 800 number (1-800-485-7384) for calling. Two and possibly three of our big TV stations will run the Texas PSA video we purchased from Houston Parkinson's group. A proclamation declaring April as Parkinsons awarness month signed by our Gov. Letters and brohures will go to each and every hospital, nursing facility , retirement facility, assisted living facility and senior center throughout the areas we cover with our brochure and offering information. PSA's by radio stations during April. Hopefully visits to our Senators and Reps to encourge them to join the Working Group for additional funding for PD. Doctors cards to be given to pt by MD with our 800 number for information. (ongoing) Remember, we have handouts to give to the hospital concerning PD and to list meds taken by pt.
