Debbie, You've talked about your mother's extreme head slump, which my father shares. Ever since Dad began to show this stooped posture, all the therapists have been concerned that he would not be breathing deeply enough, which could lead to pneumonia. He makes an effort every day to do some deep breathing exercises even though it's difficult for him to straighten up enough to do this well. Maybe this would help Joyce as well. Jane
